Pelican Pegs River Front Bed & Breakfast is located just off the scenic Great River Road which follows the Mississippi River. The Seasonal scenery is amazing and will be sure to lighten your day! We have snow in the winter, the river partially freezes over and the Bald Eagles come to feed in the spots of open water. They can also be seen in large numbers perched in the trees along the Great River Road. Spring brings blossoming trees, multi-colored wild flowers and mushrooms. Lush green landscapes abound in the Mississippi River Valley. Summer abounds with river activity, warm weather, and a multitude of festivals in all the surrounding towns. Fall is Gorgeous! You will see lots of colorful fall leaves along the Mississippi River Drive from Fort Madison, Iowa south through Montrose, Iowa and on to Keokuk Iowa then across the bridge to Hamilton, Illinois and north along the Illinois Great River Road to Nauvoo, Illinois.
